Refund & Return Policy

At Ruthie Ks Inc, our goal is to help you feel confident in your clothing. As such, we take disputes very seriously.

 

Alterations

 

With an altered garment, you have 30 days to communicate about any damage, unfinished work, or dispute about alterations done.

 

Disputes about alterations will be handled thus:

  • Ruthie Ks Inc requires you to try on the garment at pick up, to ensure that any problems can be addressed immediately. If you do not communicate problems and concerns immediately, we cannot ensure a timely response to your concerns.

  • Ruthie Ks Inc will do our best to adjust/repair/fix any fit problems that arise as a result of our work; This requires clear communication about what the precise problem is, so that we can clearly understand what needs changed/fixed, and communicate back what will be done.

  • If the alteration can be adjusted within the scope of original work and design, no further charge is due (eg. You paid to have your pants hemmed, but they are still too long). Ruthie Ks Inc will set a new pickup date with you, based on availability.

  • If the alteration requires further work outside the scope of original invoice, you will be charged for the follow up alteration (eg. You originally paid for a hem, then decide at second fitting that the legs fit too loose and you want them tapered as well). Ruthie Ks Inc will set a new pickup date with you, based on availability.

  • If we are not able to address the dispute through adjusting the alterations, we will reimburse you 50% of your invoice. This will be the end of the matter.

  • If the garment has been damaged while in our care, Ruthie Ks Inc will repair it free of charge. 

    • If the garment is not repairable, Ruthie Ks will reimburse you its value, and write off any alterations charge. 

    • What does damaged mean?

      • The garment is ripped, torn, or frayed.

      • The garment is stained

      • The garment is put together incorrectly by us (eg, the sleeves are backward, the fabric is inside out, the armhole is is sewn closed)

  • If you do not allow us the opportunity to fix the alterations/damage, you forfeit the right to any refund.


 

Custom Made

 

Custom made garments are not returnable; These garments are made specifically to your measurements, and are only suited for you.

 

Disputes about custom garments will be handled thus:

  • The deposit is nonrefundable. The deposit you pay is for purchase of materials and initial work, and cannot be refunded.

  • At the halfway point of the project, we will pause to address any concerns or second thoughts. This is the last opportunity to cancel or renegotiate the project.

    • If you cancel the project at this time, you will be refunded any payments AFTER the deposit. 

    • Ruthie Ks Inc will keep any supplies purchased, but will give you any garments that are finished at this time.

  • If you are still unhappy with the garment as it nears completion, we encourage you to work with us to remedy the situation! We want you to enjoy your clothes. But if you do not communicate, we can’t help you.
